"Oceans" by Juan Ramon Jimenez

To some I have expressed this personal time of reflection, of transition, of retreat, of letting go... and it continues...

This morning as I showered, a poem popped into my mind... something about a boat and stopping in the middle of the ocean... I could not recall the details but did remember that I heard Clarissa Pinkola Estes quote it on one of her audio releases many years ago. Thanks to 'google' I was able to locate it in the translated version ...

Oceans

"I have a feeling that my boat has struck,

down there in the depths,
against a great thing.

And nothing happens!

Nothing...

Silence...

Waves...

Nothing happens?

Or has everything happened,
and we stand now, quietly, in this new life..."
