Every moment brings death and birth...

Every moment brings a death and a new beginning into the presence of Now...

I heard a some statistics yesterday that in the US alone there is a new birth every 8 seconds and a person passes from this dimension ever 12 seconds...

Every breath is taking in the present and letting go of the what is no longer needed... it is the natural rhythm of Life throughout the Universe... ever changing and also in motion....

The New Year transition is often seen as a time to begin anew... and what a good practice it is...

I would like to suggest that we let go of all the leftover feelings, regrets, and good old days from yesterday...from yesteryear... from the previous moment.... letting the past die so that we can truly be in the Present Moment of Nowness...

When we let our minds continue to be wandering through the past or worrying about the future, we have robbed ourselves of Life in this moment... For many of us the wandering mind defaults to negative self-talk and negative energy is that is not useful and often quite destructive... perhaps your self talk is always positive and happy, but for many of us, we have to be vigilant and choose to move away from old patterns and self criticism or judgments about our lives and the lives of others....

"Forgiveness" is often a word that is used..."acceptance" is another one....acceptance of what is.... Whatever words we use, it is the actual energy and dynamic that is important... you may wish to write "the past".... "regrets" ...or whatever you choose on a piece of paper and let it go by putting it in the flame of a candle and let the transforming energy be symbolic of our intention and action of letting go...letting go... into this new moment... into this new year... into this new life....

Blessings and peace to you.... Now and Always Now...
John

Two friends...

Two Friends

Once upon a time, two friends met while walking in the park. It was a beautiful day for a walk. The sun was shining in a clear blue sky and they decided to continue walking together. They talked sometimes as they spent time together... and they also walked or sat in the park in silence, just being together with nature.... with Life and Love...

After a nice visit in the park, they seemed to sense it was time to part. They embraced and the one friend said, I while see you soon. The other friend, with tears on her cheeks, said, "I must say goodbye to you because I will never see you again." Her friend was puzzled and replied, "Why? Are you going away?"

She replied, "Not really. When we meet it is Now and our friendship and love is deep. The experience we share is precious. Now we part and when we see each other again, we will be different and it will be a brand new Now. I must let go of our time today and who I think you are, so when that time comes when we meet again, I will be present in the moment to listen to who you have become. We die to this moment and to what we might think of it later so we can really be together in a future moment of new life."

The friends embraced again and knew that moment was gone... and their hearts were full.

Often the tears we share come from the bond of love we share and the dying and separation into the ongoing Now of timelessness...

-----------------
The other night, I had a powerful dream. I was standing in the midst of a large school and it was dark. I knew I had been in this school for a long long time. My task in this place had come to end and now it was time to move on. There was some nostalgia and also some excitement about what would be next as I left this place that seemed so familiar.

When I woke and was recording the dream, it was clear an ending was near. I have been going through a transition and letting go at the end of a cycle in my life. Whether this foreshadows a transition to spirit world or a transition to a new beginning and new task in this dimension really does not matter... and in some ways they are the same... I do sense that I must say goodbye to the 'old' self and the 'old' friends without knowing who I will meet in the park tomorrow... perhaps friends and trees and squirrels and horses with no names but Love...

It is all good, even when the tears of love signify the loss of what was, so that what will be... can be...

Blessings and Love to you who read these words... I'm not sure who we will be the next time we meet... but I am sure that Love will guide the way.

Lunar Life Cycle Report by Philip Levine

Lunar Life Cycle Report example:

The following describes the last 3-4 years of a 29 year cycle according to a report designed and developed by Philip Levine. I am now going through this phase. Each person’s Lunar Life Cycle Report is unique according to your specific birth data, so please do not assume this relates to you.

In August of 2009, I sensed an inner shift that something was ending. As it turned out, most things in my then current life did and have ended. A relationship came to an end; I sold my home and left behind most all possessions; I retreated to a single room which I rented from friends; I needed to let go of a dear feline friend that had accompanied me for more than 12 years; I had lost all investments and savings through fraud, scams, and high risk start-ups that failed. You will see why, in March of 2010 when I came across Philip Levine's Lunar Life Cycle, it confirmed my own intuitive sensing of late summer in 2009 that the letting go and last phase of my 2nd 29-year cycle had commenced...

Here begins "The Balsamic Phase" of my report...

"To the observer, the plant is caught in autumn’s deathlike grip. Leaves and fruit wither and fall, the stalk bends or breaks. But beneath these decaying remains lies the promise, the seed, the bridge from cycle to cycle. It can wait, slumbering peacefully at winter’s breast.

"The closing phase of your cycle, the Balsamic, occurs from August 2009 when the progressed Moon is in a 45 degree waning semi-square behind the progressed Sun until your next New Moon in May 2013.

"This is probably the most difficult phase of the cycle for most people in the West. There is no reason why it has to be any more challenging than the others, except that for most of us our discomfort with and lack of understanding of death has not prepared us for the end of most cycles.

"But in the lunar cycle it is easy to see that the death of one cycle is the preparation and source for the one that follows. Whatever you are doing during this phase may be seen as an act of release, self-emptying, or letting go.

"The increasing darkness on the Moon’s face symbolizes the waning of interest, the loss of meaningful activity which characterizes this phase. This is a time for release, for even more letting go. Pain during this phase is most likely a signal that you are attached to something which is no longer right for you. Your objective during this phase is to EMPTY YOURSELF, to make room for the birth which follows. You may find yourself withdrawing, going more into yourself. Your inner experience is what matters now, more than outer circumstances. This phase can be particularly appropriate for meditation and a relative retreat from the world. Rest may now be necessary to balance the intensive activity of the earlier phases.

"See if you can choose to be less active now, instead of feeling restricted by circumstance. Try fasting, or spending time quietly with yourself. Take the time and space to listen to whatever is occurring deep with you. Just as the Moon becomes swallowed by darkness during this phase, you may find this to be an opportunity to lose your sense of individual separateness in a greater identification with a group or even humanity as a whole. You may be more inclined to make sincere sacrifices for the good of others.

"In the building analogy, the time has come to move out and allow the contractors to take over in their efforts to prepare for a new cycle of activity in a new or changed building which will follow. For the human life cycle, this can be seen as a period of rest, retreat, or retirement from the world. Whether that means reflecting on life’s meaning and past experiences, actively pursuing options that had to be put aside earlier, or just waiting to die depends upon the individual.

"Similar alternatives may attract you now. This phase may find you reflecting upon the deeper meaning of the past 26-27 years, trying to condense the most valuable aspects of your experiences into a theme or lesson to pass on to others, much like the life energies of the plant become condensed in the seed. Analyze your thoughts and feelings about death: is it the end, or a transition? Do you want this phase of your Lunar Life Cycle to be a bridge to the future or a dead end? You may not be able to see what’s coming, but you can still choose to believe that there will be more, to have faith in the future and in new possibilities.

"You are now preparing the way for the next cycle. By allowing yourself to grieve for what is passing away and accepting feelings of emptiness, you prepare the vessel of your personality for the release of new potential at the next New Moon. Don’t be afraid of the emptiness, try not to fill it with meaningless activity or premature commitments. You
are likely to be straining to see the future now, but this is also the time to harvest the essence of the entire cycle which has passed. What seems to matter most, and how can you essentialize your experience to form a basis for renewal? You may be prophetic or visionary at this time, but don’t expect everyone else to see what you see.

"As you approach the New Moon in the months leading up to May 2013 try to surrender, to open yourself, and to maintain an inner peace and receptivity.

"When the Balsamic Phase comes you may want to record any inner or outer events that seem relevant to the meaning of this period (August 2009 to May 2013). What can you see that has the quality of this phase?"

15 Things You Can Let Go of To Be Happy

"Here is a list of 15 things which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering - and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free and happy - we cling on to them. Not anymore. Starting today we will give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go..."

'Stuff' and Life energy...

'Stuff' and Life energy...
Bear with me a few minutes... there is something that is trying to emerge about 'stuff' and Life...
For several years I have been simplifying my life of 'stuff'... partly from a sense of mortality and not wanting other to have to 'deal' with the 'stuff' I leave behind... As time went on I found myself letting go of more and more 'stuff'... to the point where I moved to Denver by placing some 'stuff' in my car... another 'stuff' item... and sent some valued 'stuff' like some books and clothes in boxes ...
So when I arrived in my new apartment, it felt empty and needed some 'stuff' to make it feel more like a comfortable space.... a home... so I got some new and used 'stuff' that I sensed was needed in the new space... but this time, while I got what I liked, I feel much more detached from the 'stuff' that it here... it's more of a stewardship thing... okay I'll take care of it and use it for a time and then someone else will have it to use... that's all...
There is also something deeper and almost ironic, if that's the right word... It seems that the more I was able to let go of 'stuff' it was also like letting go of the past...in some mystical energetic way... so by detaching, I feel more present in this Now space.... in the present... and am able to relate with all the dynamics and 'stuff' in my present life from a somewhat more clear space... the 'stuff' I have accumulated in 3 months are things that I sensed were needed for his time... and when the space told me it was right... then I didn't need to look any longer... there are no 'wants' for more...
A lack of attachment to 'stuff' helps me wake each day with the reality that indeed it is a brand new day... yesterday is indeed gone... today will bring new adventure and opportunity... to be here and enjoy the moment of Life we are gifted.

Rites of Passage...

Rites of Passages refer to those times that mark a transition from one stage of life to another, celebrate births, passing to the hereafter, and perhaps other major transitions.

The can be formal tribal and cultural ceremonies... or they may be more subtle or unannounced transitions that are discovered after the fact as a major turning point.

Rites of passage may be transitions in consciousness... as the mind expands to new realms of awareness beyond normal or convention time/space frames of reference...

I found this writing from the Native American traditions that relates to Life's rites of passage:

"The changes of many winters
mark the cycles of the Wheel,
The lines across my ancient face
show all that I can feel,
The nature of my passage
   remains a mystery,
For in my heart of hearts,
   I hold my destiny.
When I was but an infant
   in the beginning of time,
I marveled at the wonder of
   discoveries I did find.
Now that I am ancient,
   I have learned once again,
That the weight of every winter,
   brings discovery like a friend."

~ from Sacred Path Cards by Hancoka Olowampi (Midnight Song) - aka Jamie Sams

A transition or passage brings a celebration of the new along with the letting go of what was...

Winter is a time when the Great Mother does some snoozing and awaits the new creations of spring...

Life continues its dancing dynamics during every season and we discover the emergence of new adventures around each corner...

Let gratitude find a nesting place in the barren branches of wintry transitions... and hope in the springs blossoms hidden in dormant roots...

Letting Go of Preconceived Ideas

[In response to some questions and concerns from friends and readers, I have taken the opportunity to see what words might come regarding these inquiries and the results are what follows... Your thoughts and comments are invited... you may write them at the blog site or send them direct. At anytime you wish to adjust your email preferences, visit http://www.ez-1111.com/]

How does one let go of preconceived ideas ...of what parenting should look like... what a friendship should look like... How clean my house should look(my favorite), etc.?
Whenever we are resisting what is ... whenever we notice judgment entering consciousness ... whenever we are wishing things will be better in the future... and most other times of conventional thinking, we are working with thoughts that have been developed by previous thinking or passed onto us as part of our training and life experience. The particular life situation does not matter. The dynamics are the same...

Consequently, most ordinary everyday conventional thinking is preconceived in some form and is at the root of the various emotional reactions we have in a specific life situation. The "preconceived" ideas will always be part of our ordinary thinking process. Awareness gives us a choice. As we see the judgments, negativity, and reactions enter our present awareness... as we notice the contents of the flow of thoughts and emotions, we are no longer identified with them. Awareness brings disidentification from all that is not pure being and awareness...

It is from this spaciousness that we can see 'what is' and choose any action. Being aware and accepting 'what is' does not mean we do not make choices or changes... It means we see, we realize the situation, we realize we are not the situation, but rather part of the Beingness that is Life... and from this space in consciousness, we respond ... more clearly and 'centered'...

Then, we can choose to let go of preconceived ideas, or see more clearly why those ideas may be or are relevant.

Source Healing

Source of Healing Energy…

We can read the many anecdotal reports of spiritual, emotional, and physical healings from the scriptures of various spiritual traditions as well as from the numerous writings about the work of contemporary healers and energy workers. One of the most well known spiritual teachers and healers comes from the Christian religious tradition… The following paraphrase of the recorded words attributed to Jesus helps to understand the basis of Healing Energy…

It is recorded that Jesus said to those around him, “You witness the things that I do... Well, I just want you to know, it is not me... it is not the personal ego nature that does these things, but rather the One Life Source… the Sacred Spirit… the Divine Energy that is flowing through this channel my parents named ‘Jesus’… and the real ‘Parents’ of Consciousness is the Source of Life that flows through us All…”

Just because we might experience the Life Energy flowing through us, let us not be deluded into thinking that we can somehow own or control this instantly transforming power of healing and life… that is always the personal egoic mind… The only choice we have is whether or not we will clear the path… get out of the way… for Life Energy to flow freely through us…

Turn from distraction…

Let us join together to forgive those who have wronged us and let the grudges, anger, and recurring fantasies fly away in the blink of an eye…

Being freed to openly channel Love… now…

Even as we forgive our brothers and sisters, our tribe, our traditions, our collective past… let us also forgive the wrongs we have committed against others… against ourselves… against Life… against other creatures and the Earth… again free to fly in the breezes of Life’s Joy and Peace…

Forgiveness itself is only an aid… an illusion since a sleeping child is not responsible for his or her nightmares… And forgiveness gives us a choice to let go of the fantasies that replay in the egoic mind, keeping us distracted from the present… and Presence of Life…

All can be accepted …what was … was … what will be … will be …and what is…is what is … now…

Enter the realm of Timeless Consciousness…see, feel, and sense the freedom of letting go into the presence of Now…

Peace… Love … eternal sounds of Silence
