John's Training and Education

About John Hutchinson

Life is Now... in this present moment... and we bring to this moment many experiences that hopefully provide a basis for service and helping others. Here are some of my experiences that have helped shape who I am today. I am grateful for each moment that Life continues to breathe through this 'John' form, as imperfect as it may be. We all are a bit like unique stained glass windows that the Light of Life shines through into the world... Hopefully we do our best to clean the windows from time to time...

Jungian Dreamwork and Transpersonal Counseling

While majoring in Psychology at Gordon College, I became interested in dreams and the concepts and practice as suggested by Carl Jung. Later, I researched graduate programs and decided to attend Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, MA, 1975-77. While in seminary, I served as Associate Minister at the Federated Church of S. Natick, MA [Unitarian-Universalist Association and United Church of Christ federated congregations]; and also served as a Chaplain and Chaplain Supervisor in 3 Boston area hospitals: Boston City Hospital, Westboro State Hospital, and Framingham State Hospital. Dream work has also been informed by training with Jeremy Taylor and many books and articles on the subject. I have also self-published a book on working with dreams entitled, “Dreamus Aliveus.”
