Fusion13 Rune #60: "Conflict"
I find that my own expectations and wants often play a large part in creating the sense of conflict. The first things I try to look at are: What was I expecting? Or, what did I want to happen?
The stronger we are attached to our personal wants and expectations, the more conflict we will feel. The are times when conflict arises where someone has been wronged or harmed. We can look at each conflict situation as it is and decide if there is something we can do to resolve the conflict. If we have little or no influence in the situation, then we can choose to remove ourselves from it in some way, or find a way to accept the situation.
Conflict helps us grow. Resolutions usually happen through communication and the discovery of mutual interests beyond the direct area of the conflict. In serious conflict, where continued contact will occur, more formal mediation or negotiations may be in order.
It is all grist for the mill as we travel our Path. So, when conflict arises, see it as an opportunity for persona, spiritual, and interpersonal growth. A path of loving kindness.
Expect the unexpected ...
May Loving Kindness be our Guide....John
