Part I: Post-Election [US] Thoughts

We all can learn a lesson or two from the recent US election victory by
the Obama-Biden campaign team. It takes heart and brains to achieve a goal. I
have been hearing analyses about why, how, demographics, and speculations about
any number of factors involved in the overwhelming Obama team victory…
One thing is clear. The policies and plans of the Obama team come from
the ‘heart’ of their ideas and values aimed at equality and lifting up everyone
with an emphasis of helping one another. Call it what you will. I call it “HEART”…
A second aspect of the Obama team victory that stands out to me is the
strategy and careful planning that went on behind the scenes which mobilized so
many team members in key states, cities, districts, and precincts in order to
maximize the turnout necessary to ensure the margins for victory. This focus on
detail and the rather ‘nerdy’ and necessary work of internal experts doing
polling and statistics in a realistic and objective manner was the second major
key in the Obama team victory. I call this “BRAINS”…
The achievement of any goal, and especially one of such a large scale
as a national election campaign takes a tremendous amount of foresight,
passion, and implementation by a management team second to none that I have
seen in my 65 years (in the case of the Obama team victory)…
No matter what we wish to accomplishment in our lives, we can learn
what it takes from this example. Of course, we need the Heart of vision, passion,
and values on which to base our goal. We ground our strategy for implementation
through the detailed development of a plan (Brains). And the plan is carried
out through activation, determination, and persistence through the use of
sustained ‘Willing Energy’ over time (Brains-Heart Merger)…
It takes a team… at least one person with the vision and those around
him or her to agree with that vision. It takes people who like to work with
details and are good at it to provide the management of the plan. And it takes many others to do the work and many more to actually vote. Nothing
happens in a vacuum. So the vision and plan and implementation all must align
with a certain willingness and openness in the surrounding environment for the
whole vision to be accepted and then we will perhaps see a real conspiracy by
the Universal energy of Life to support and assist in the synchronous
completion of the idea… Grounding the thoughts into reality… These basics, it seems are necessary no matter what the size of project or goal.
Now, the election is over and the work of governing continues. It is
the perfect time to act and begin the process of preparing the way forward.
There have been some words of grace and bipartisanship coming from all
political parties. And there have also been some expectations being aired that
not much will happen during the “lame duck” session which extends from now
until the next Congress begins in 2013. There is no reason to wait and we can
perhaps help in our own way.
Setting our intention to support
collaborative efforts toward compromise is a way of clearing our own mind and
heart from past expectations, fears, and opinions. I would suggest that all who
wish to be a positive force of healing and helping energy try the following
visualization while in a loving and meditative state a few times or as many
times as you feel so moved to do so. This can also be considered a form of
prayer for all of us and especially those who are serving as part of our
governing team.

To visualizers, you
may wish to read a section, do it, then, go on to the next section when ready...
Find a comfortable and quiet place, especially the first time you do this.
You may want to have some soft meditative music playing in the background...
Relax your body and focus on your breathing for a minute or so….

Visualization----------------
Imagine a beam of light coming from the sun and down through the top of
your and swirling around in a soothing cleansing fashion throughout your brain…
Now allow the beam of light energy to go down to your heart… allowing
it to fill your whole chest area… cleansing and healing all it needs to do…
Next, imagine the light energy filling up you whole body and flushing
and filling each cell to provide all you need for an energy filled body… and
when that is accomplished… sense the energy flow downward into the earth…. all the
way to the purifying fire at the center of our Earth Mother… sensing the purifying
and transmuting nature of this ball of fire…
Imagine, as you are in the fire, that it is now the center of the sun’s
fiery globe which you are in… and now you are pure energy and awareness… Take
as much time as you wish to take in all the life energy you need right now…
When you are ready, become a beam of light and loving energy traveling
from the sun … all the way to Washington D.C…. and let that energy fill the
White House, the Congress, and the Supreme Court … let it fill the spaces
surrounding all those who will be involved in the tasks of helping to govern
the nation in a way that is good for all people… See that light fill the House
of Representatives…. then the Senate Chamber… next the Supreme Court… next, the
Oval Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President…. And allow
this energy of love and light and cooperation to expand until it surrounds the
whole governing area in our capital… the whole city…
Next sense that same energy of love, light, and cooperation expand
until it covers the whole United States… and then the whole globe… see the
love, light, and energies of cooperation and compassion surround our whole earthly
home and, if you wish, let it expand again to include the universe and all that
is…. Sense the Oneness that is everywhere…
And as you are ready, now, allow yourself to feel the oneness of that
all encompassing love surrounding you and filling you with the Great Spirit of
Life Energy… and bring all that you wish back to the place you are in now,
completely oriented to the present moment in time and space…

Now, may the best possible energies of acceptance and collaboration be with
each of us and with each member of our governing teams at all levels and locations.
