Birds, Cats, and Being
Birds are singing outside my office window as I type these words… heralding the changing of the seasons… Spring is sputteringly popping into our Life once again here inPennsylvania
Lucia, my feline companion for more than twelve years, is stretched out on the desk tapping a rhythm of Life on the keyboard… and within moments she quickly falls into a deep sleep… amazing how they do that…. Seems animals are simply able to let go and release into complete relaxation…
Of course both birds and cats are reminders to me … along with trees and rocks and all sorts of forms of Life… just how content they are in their beingness… As far as I can tell, they are not caught up in any existential crisis of identity and wondering what they will be doing tomorrow… We humans are a bit different… often lost in the insanity of mental gymnastics that passes for ordinary consciousness… replaying yesterdays and fantasizing tomorrows… Life may be simpler than we make it…
What if … for at least a day… we would lose our memory of all the cultural and tribal teachings we have received along the path to the present? What if we were to let go of all past memories? What if we would have no symbols to write or communicate? …just for a day… What if we forget the labels that have been assigned to us…such as a name… a job title… nicknames… roles? What if we would forget all names and labels that have been given to all the forms we see? What if we would have no thought of tomorrow or yesterday?
The constant naming, categorizing, defining of our world goes on and in some important ways helps us to accomplish practical and amazing tasks. And it can also remove us from the essential energy and quality of Real Life around us at all times.
We can find ourselves lost in a made up dream world that we think we understand and can control and manipulate… when in reality we are separate and lost in our thought-forms…in our mindsets…our beliefs…. Swinging from thought to thought in the jungles of our heady illusions…
What if we would be….just be… being Being in this present moment…. at one with the Life energy that is running through us… that is breathing us… the Life energy that beats our heart… the animating Source energy of all that is…
What if we were born again into this present moment of pure Awareness… aware only of our awareness… without thought-forms that scatter themselves on the page or screen… just reawakened into the Life Energy that abounds beyond, beneath, around, and through all symbols and forms…
Perhaps we can pause and find
space

Welcome to Wednesday March 24, 2010
A pleasant reminder that no matter what is going on now.... it will change... since the present moment is always Now and is always in motion.... within all the change is the still center of being...
Let us affirm together that we are One with Life itself..One with all that is...
Let us affirm that we are not breathing Life.... but rather Life is breathing us...
In the moment of this day, Sundance Center and John are also in transition...
The residence at 300 Huntington Drive is still up for sale...
As most of you know, the marriage contract between Connie and I was officially terminated in January 2010. While this has been an amicable transition in our relationship, I wish to be clear that I was the one that initiated the change.... Connie continues working and serving in Doha, Qatar and will most likely be there for the next 2-3 years. Plans are for her to return to 300 Huntington for the 2 weeks prior to the house closing date... whenever that is determined...
I do not know, at this time, where I will go, but Sundance Center and I (along with pet, Lucia) are trusting the process and know we will be here now...wherever that may be... The egoic mind likes to know everything all the time...I will trust that when it is time to know, then it will be known.... I can envision a quiet natural setting that may provide living situation for some part-time care-taking or other work for a few hours per week...
You may be wondering about my exploring moving to Colorado... At this time, I do not sense clarity about moving to the Denver, Colorado area or Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, CO... I am open to where Life may lead and also open to staying in the Lancaster County area where I am at this time...
One night, some years ago now, I had a long dream that was much like a shamanic journey.... It culminated in a room where I saw a symbol on the floor of a small chamber with 4 doors and a voice asking me "Whose Life is it anyway?" I took it as an other deep moment of calling to renewal of Spirit in my life ... It was also a call and reminder to ego that Life was one and what I thought was my life that somehow belonged to me.... this vehicle labeled John was in reality One with Life's Source... that Life itself is a miraclulous gift of Grace and it was Life that is breathing through me... At times we get lost in the idea that it is our Life and that we somewhat own it... I have come to the opinion that the best I can do through my choices is to cooperate with the stewardship of Life wherever we are...
Life has provided many rich experiences in this lifetime... from many various service and work opportunities to various avenues of creative expression... through this stained glass window labeled John and Sundance Center....
Now it is time to truly allow the emergence of the New into the Now... for each one of us...
I hear from others as well that they are experiencing what feels like the end of a cycle in their lives.... and we are reminded that the new beginnings are emerging and on their way... it is our job to be with the uncertainty, the unknowing, and the confusion of transitions, realizing that these are natural ego reactions to the uncertainty and lack of control ...
It is a time to be in touch with the highest reality within our being... to find the stillness of the present moment and surrender...letting go to what is... while also envisioning what our preferences are... and what our next steps of service might be...
Let us find the Courage to Be in the face of the unknown and the illusions that fear might create from time to time... If we continually wake up to the Eternal Moment beyond time and space consciousness, we can find the unifying center of stillness the Always IS...
Let us Be the best advertisement for Love in our everyday actions and words... especially with those we encounter in our homes, works, and everyday routines... Be the cliche-ed "Change you wish to see"....
May Life Energy...Life's Greatest Spirit,,, Bless us with waking moments of Peace...of Love... and of Joy...
May those who are disappointed, sad, and experiencing loss, allow those emotions to take there quick flow back to Source... through allowing what is... allowing light and winds of Spirit to clear the darkness in its perfect time...

THE PULSE OF SPIRIT - This Golden, Shining Moment
To you who read these words, wherever you may be around the world: You may have just subscribed to this electronic mailing list, or you may have been receiving the regular pulse of spirit we have been offering for decades. You may have been deeply committed to Emissaries of Divine Light or you may have felt distant from us and our work. Whatever the past has been, I offer these words to you, and pray that you hear and understand the spirit of them.
Together, we have this golden, shining moment in time to bring a shift in the outworking human destiny. Despite whatever sense of disillusionment may have been present for you, despite whatever failures you may believe to have been present in your own life or in our collective endeavors, this opportunity is present with us now. Knowing that consciousness is the pivotal factor for humanity and for our beloved Planet Earth, we may bring the highest reality of which we are aware to our world.
What must we do to let this happen? Most essentially, we must simply say that it shall be so. Let the highest reality come through my consciousness and yours, and let it be extended to the world. Let that reality come through our collective consciousness. With that willingness and commitment in the living of our lives, IT SHALL BE SO.
Having made this declaration, these steps are open to us:

Love
Love is the Power of Life’s Source and Essential Creative Energy.
Love is the Fire of Fusion, expanding and transmuting our humanity to oneness with All That Is.
Love cannot be created by our egoic mind and those who search for spiritual illumination can not rationally think there way through to it. The great commandment is: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with your entire mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:30)
The “Lord your God” is the Source of Life within you, and when Love of your True Self is complete, so that you Love Life Itself with “all” of your whole being, you will instantly find yourself in the present moment and One with Life’s Source.
Many in our world focus the greater part of their “strength” in loving and wanting material things. Each day they will work and strive for the things they love… for food and clothes for the body… and for the love of their family they will seek to satisfy their love for more things… they strive for things in the physical world to enhance their status, fame, and fortune… and after all of this, they have some ritual or ego idea that shows the world they “love God.” They spend their time and energy trying to satisfy the desires of the body which they love so much, only to find that all is impermanent and will perish.
As long as a person continues to gives most of his or her attention the love of self, they cannot know the deeper Love of Life within… the true spiritual core.
When we only strive for “success” or satisfaction based upon desire for the material things in Life, we continue to sense the unease and torment that accompanies a focus on trying to find Love and peace by looking outward to others and to things.
Until we actually know from inner experience the first commandment and let this spirit live in us, we cannot really know nor do the second commandment which relates to loving others as ourselves. Until we live our lives in the Spirit of the first commandment, we will continue to dwell in ego attachments and experience all the comparing feelings that limit and separate us such as envy, greed, hatred, conflict, and desire… which are transient and ever-changing, ending in death. Those who say, “I have to make a living, and I have no time to waste in trying to let God do anything,” is actually saying, “I love myself and material things so much that I have no room left in which to love the Source of Life itself.” In our ignorance, we may imagine that to love God it is necessary to forget all material things and to withdraw into the life of a hermit.
You Blessed Ones who have entered through the ‘Now-gate’ into the eternal Present, know, and know that you know, that:
When you are ready to let go and cease all strife and struggle… you are ready to Respond to Love.
Love is the Law of Expression in each one of us. As we harmonize with this great Law of Love’s Expression, we turn toward living a glorious and fulfilling life right here, right now…
“There is only one Way whereby anyone may harmonize with this Law, and in this one Way is certain and absolute success, no matter who the person is, no matter what [he] has or has not done, and no matter where [he] is or is not. This way works for the bond and the free, for the poor and for the rich; for it is no respecter of persons, It cannot be purchased with money, nor can worldly position or fame secure it. A college education is no help in finding it, and lack of so-called education is no hindrance. It cannot be secured through the power of intellect and it is available to all of simple ways and thoughts. He who tries to gain it in order to achieve some end or reward will surely fail, even though the reward that is sought be the kingdom of heaven.. So-called good deeds will not make it sure to any, and he who seeks to enter in that he may control another will find himself in the pit of darkness, even though the control is exerted for the people’s ‘own good.’ The parent may, and should, control the child until the child reaches the age of decision, at about 12 years, but beyond this no one should seek to control another, for no one possesses another. A possessive attitude toward any person, be it husband, wife, or child will prevent the entering in.”
The one Way is the same Way that the Christ spoke of and lived out according to the reports… It is letting go to the True Highest and Deepest Self… The Source of Life… The Christ Consciousness and Cosmic Energy Within… The Spirit of Life … The Oneness…
Those who let go are the ones who give thanks for All things, no matter what they are… for we see them as wonderful opportunities for radiating Love… when you let go, you are ready and willing to respond and to do perfectly what is to be done in this instant, no matter how small or significant it may be. When you let go, you Love to do all that you do… and the Love with which you do all things is the Power that makes your creative expression sure and affective.
The one Way of Love is Love.
In doing all that is done in the Radiance of Love, the fullness of Love is experienced and the union of Love is known. Through harmonizing with Love, we are drawn into Love, and in Love all is perfection. Whenever we do anything because we think we “ought to,’ we find our ‘doing’ is most likely in vain. When do respond from a place of Selfless Love, we find that the doing is a joy in this eternal moment.
The Secret of All is the Secret of Love, and only those who Love are able to understand love.
To those who have not let go into Love, these words will be empty. To the Blessed Ones who Love in Selfless Love, these words will reveal the All.
The Way of Love is Love. Knowing Love, we practice Love. The Way of the Christ was and is Love. The Way of Joy is Love. The Way of Peace is Love. The Way of perfect Health is in Love. The Way of release from fear and worry is Love. The Way of Freedom is Love. The Way of Eternal Life Is Love. “I AM’ is Love. “I AM THAT I AM” is Love. Love is all. Without Love there is nothing. In Love is all that is Eternal. Love includes all and is all. Those who let Love Radiate in the Present Moment of Life, without concern for results, are those who ‘know’ Love. To know Love, we are compelled to express Love. Those who do not Love have not opened to Love, have no let go to Universal Love, and cannot know Love until they open and begin to them themselves and others and All of Life.
Remember, Love is firm, courageous, and sure. Love treats all Life equally. Love stands in the One Stillness, serene and tranquil at all times, under all conditions, for Love is Selfless. Love seeks for nothing, because Love is all things. Love doesn’t bargain because Love has need of nothing. Love is never lonely, because Love is Oneness With All That Is.
Let Love Radiate and you will know exactly what Love is…The Way of Love is Love…

- Love is as firm and steady as it is gentle…
- Love is as bold and courageous as it is ready to respond in true Service…
- Love is an Absolute Law which always works under all conditions…
- Love has little to do with the fickleness and ridiculousness of some of the so-called love and charity which is often based in ego attachments, self-centered “shoulds,” or ulterior motives.
- Service in Love is ‘selfless,’ yet never requiring anyone to become a doormat for others …
- Love does not give for ‘show’ or to prove anything to others.
- Love is that which fills us when we are awakened and “born again” to the real Source of Life Energy from within… for the ego or survival identity knows little of True Love but rather confuses it with attachments, passions, and possessiveness…

The one Way is the same Way that the Christ spoke of and lived out according to the reports… It is letting go to the True Highest and Deepest Self… The Source of Life… The Christ Consciousness and Cosmic Energy Within… The Spirit of Life … The Oneness…
Those who let go are the ones who give thanks for All things, no matter what they are… for we see them as wonderful opportunities for radiating Love… when you let go, you are ready and willing to respond and to do perfectly what is to be done in this instant, no matter how small or significant it may be. When you let go, you Love to do all that you do… and the Love with which you do all things is the Power that makes your creative expression sure and affective.
The one Way of Love is Love.
In doing all that is done in the Radiance of Love, the fullness of Love is experienced and the union of Love is known. Through harmonizing with Love, we are drawn into Love, and in Love all is perfection. Whenever we do anything because we think we “ought to,’ we find our ‘doing’ is most likely in vain. When do respond from a place of Selfless Love, we find that the doing is a joy in this eternal moment.
The Secret of All is the Secret of Love, and only those who Love are able to understand love.
To those who have not let go into Love, these words will be empty. To the Blessed Ones who Love in Selfless Love, these words will reveal the All.
The Way of Love is Love. Knowing Love, we practice Love. The Way of the Christ was and is Love. The Way of Joy is Love. The Way of Peace is Love. The Way of perfect Health is in Love. The Way of release from fear and worry is Love. The Way of Freedom is Love. The Way of Eternal Life Is Love. “I AM’ is Love. “I AM THAT I AM” is Love. Love is all. Without Love there is nothing. In Love is all that is Eternal. Love includes all and is all. Those who let Love Radiate in the Present Moment of Life, without concern for results, are those who ‘know’ Love. To know Love, we are compelled to express Love. Those who do not Love have not opened to Love, have no let go to Universal Love, and cannot know Love until they open and begin to them themselves and others and All of Life.
Remember, Love is firm, courageous, and sure. Love treats all Life equally. Love stands in the One Stillness, serene and tranquil at all times, under all conditions, for Love is Selfless. Love seeks for nothing, because Love is all things. Love doesn’t bargain because Love has need of nothing. Love is never lonely, because Love is Oneness With All That Is.
Let Love Radiate and you will know exactly what Love is…The Way of Love is Love…

"Alone Only Exists in Fantasyland"
The “Present Moment” always is… a portal to Life…
To clarify perhaps a bit… we are always in the present moment… the question is – “Where is our identity” in the moment…
When we are not sleeping, our awareness is upon something… [and even during sleep]
It may be…
This is not to impose yet another judgment and say we ‘should’ not have reactions or be identified in ego states, beliefs, thought-forms, or emotions. Our humanity comes with survival personalities and ego structure… it is a reaction and response to what our experience in this life has been from day one… plus we have been and are being bombarded by thought forms and energies at collective levels, both consciously and unconsciously…
Becoming disidentified from ‘this’ and that’ helps us to move toward a spaciousness of our true identity… of pure consciousness and will in this eternal moment… the more thought-forms and emotion baggage we bring to this moment, the more we are likely to simply react from unconscious patterns.
I recall the first time I read of a spiritual master explaining that while saying goodbye to someone, he said something like, “Goodbye my friend, I shall never see you again.” Of course he was not predicting the futures of either one. He was simply suggesting that this moment is gone forever and that it is like they both died when they parted and if their paths crossed again, they could not assume they knew who the other person was… the message being…. Do not carry your assumptions and beliefs on your back as they can blind you to what is …right NOW…
Now, there are usually certain recognitions of personal energy when we meet an old friend… and there is also the danger that we aren’t discovering our friend in this moment because we may be assuming we know who they are from what we know of their past… I don’t know about you, but I have had the experience of someone making comments to or about me that did not seem to be true or appropriate in the present moment… Rather they seemed more like leftover interpretations from the past that were being projected into the present. And of course, you and I do it as well…
One of the characteristics of a good friend or good counselor is often their ability to focus outward and to be present… to listen and sense what is happening now… The strength of the counselor is that he or she can often provide a unifying center and presence for the other person without becoming lost or identified in the emotional state or thought-forms of the other person…
Feeling states are very personal and reflect our attachments to others, to outcomes, and to desires… the feelings teach us about our beliefs and desires… they are not right or wrong… they just are…
So, being present in this moment… may begin with a feeling or even a discomfort in our body… if we stay with it and focus upon it… not making it wrong or right… just breathing into it and allowing for it’s expression, often times it will pass more quickly… When we dwell on something by replaying it in our mind….continuing to think about it, of course it will continue… and we can become attached and identified in that particular state, emotion, or pattern of behavior…
If we return to the basic sense that we are conscious beings who can actually be aware of our awareness in ways that perhaps other animals and living things are not, we realize that the consciousness of human beings is both a blessing and a curse… both heaven and hell… How many do we see around us who continue to torment themselves through replaying thoughts and memory traces… and they of course are already in their own form of ‘hell’… perhaps helped by the actions and support of others and also perhaps looking for a way to return to their true identity… And the same person can find their way home to a center of pure consciousness and Life Energy… that is the spiritual beingness of who we are… sometimes if can happen through a trauma that breaks the trance and cracks the mindset in which they have been living and identified with for most of their lives… Other times they are led by the Grace of Life in some other way…through nature… an encounter with another person… reading… or simply letting go of past and future and returning once more to the eternal present…
Most of us... for most of our lives... probably walk around in an ‘identified state’ thinking we know who we are because of this or that… because of stuff… or status… or title… or education… or association… all external things… identified as John or Joe or Sue or Jane… when really they are simply labels…
So who are we?… who are you?… in this present moment… we have the glorious title of ‘Human Being’ … What this means to me is that we are one with Being… the Source of All… and we are being Human… we are walking around in this particular model vehicle… this material form… Spirit and Matter … all in one… Human and Divine ... transitioning co-creating beings that appear as individuals yet are always One with All That Is…
And this was one more ‘ramble’ that began with where I was back then and ends up here …again… There are ways to find our way back to the present… and we must find it for ourselves… but never alone… alone only exists in fantasyland…
